Strategy
Build your strategy remembering that, "this world and its present form is passing away". (1 Cor 7:31) And that "the world and its desires pass away, but the person who does the will of God lives forever". (1 John 2:17)
Goals that are measurable are ideal but not required.
Connects it with the Circle of Congruence.
Connect it with The Sweet Spot.
Goals will be a mixture of short, medium, and long term.
Regular reflection and adjustments (flexibility) are necessary.
Goals will vary from person to person - One body, many parts (1 Cor 12).
The visual representation doesn’t have to have the Trivial Pursuit game look - make it your own.
There’s value in the pursuit of your purpose, in the adventure of making the battle plan.
If you create your Strategy and after a period of time it feels like it’s not working for you, don’t give up. Perhaps the direction you chose doesn't line up with Biblical truths, what God is telling you, your Circle of Congruence, and/or your Sweet Spot. Take the time to consult with someone you trust and pray through it.
Be cautious that you don’t get so focused on your strategy that it becomes more important than following the Lord. Your strategy and doing the Lord’s will should compliment each other.
Be cautious that your strategy doesn’t become a list of how you can “work” your way into God’s good graces. We also can’t have faith without works. Faith and action need to work together. (James 2) That’s where your strategy comes in. Because of your faith you take time to reflect on and ask for His guidance in revealing the work He has planned for you.
